Constructing Our Future
SAFE HOUSE
Indianapolis, Indiana

COF provides safe, affordable, healthy housing for formerly incarcerated women. In addition to providing housing, we recognize that for women to be successful after leaving incarceration, they need more than just safe housing. They each need an individualized plan to prepare them for life and employment on the outside. We have developed an Education track to assist women in completing their degrees and a Construction Track to help women enter the construction field. In addition to our programming, Constructing Our Future leverages our partnerships with other community-based organizations to provide wrap-around support for our residents with income support and employment coaching and placement, peer recovery coaching, substance use assessments and coaching, relapse prevention groups, employment readiness workshops, financial workshops, and legal education workshops. Residents pay a portion of the rent and utilities.
