COF Financial Literacy Course

Our COF Financial Literacy Information Course resulted from a collaboration with one of our Butler University service-learning courses. Working with students, we developed our Financial Literacy Information Course specifically designed for women affected by the justice system in Indiana. This resource was thoughtfully created to support justice-involved women in rebuilding their financial independence by covering key topics such as budgeting, credit management, savings strategies, and accessing financial services post-incarceration.

The packet is tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by formerly incarcerated women and aims to empower them with practical tools and knowledge to foster long-term economic stability. This project exemplifies the power of community partnerships and student engagement in advancing Constructing Our Future’s mission to break the cycle of recidivism through education and support.
